Cook More

Cook more often and cook more dishes. Learn from my experiences in Thailand to cook Thai dishes and add Thai tastes to western food (fusion food)

Improve my Thai

My Thai is OK, but my writing level needs some work.

I would like to improve my reading comprehension and writing ability so let's hope that being away from Thailand will not mean I forget everything.

Learn Kendo

The Japanese martial art is something I've wanted to learn for many years. Bangkok has one club but it lost it's meeting venue when one of the Japanese business men left the bank he worked for (they supplied the squash courts on the 28th floor of the building).

There seems to be an active club in Wellington that holds classes for adults so lets see what that brings.

Break out the pencil and brush

More time will mean more time for family and hobbies. At least some of these will intersect. Maybe one intersect will be art.

It's time to get the brushes, paint and pencils out again and get back into sketching and watercolour.

Learn how to take better Photographs

2008 will be the year to learn to use the features of my camera away from Auto. Break out the user manual and learn how to use features like aperture priority, shutter priority, white balance.

A good place to start will be ePhotozine.

Get an MBA

After two+ years of trying to find the time our move to New Zealand will give me the time at home to settle down to some study and work towards my MBA. As Tom Markert writes in his book if you can get one you should.

Claiming Some Labels

Labels are Blogger's categories.

For my extended profile I will start by using the following categories for my wonderings...
  • Likes - things I like [obvious]
  • Dislikes - things I don't like [equally obvious]
  • Photos - photo record of where, what and who
  • Books - books I'm reading, books I've read and books I would like to read
  • Films - same as books for but for umm... films
  • eGraffiti - doodles and snapshots
  • Lifelist - things I want to achieve
So let's get started
